SASSA Payment Dates

SASSA Payment Dates

Use this SASSA payment dates 2026/27 calendar to check when older persons grants, disability grants and children’s grants are scheduled for payment.

Permanent SASSA grants are paid in groups each month. This page also shows the current 2026/27 grant amounts. SRD R370 does not follow one fixed public payment date for everyone.

Quick Answer

SASSA permanent grant payments are normally staggered over three payment groups: older persons first, disability grants next, and children’s grants after that.

For June 2026, older persons grants are scheduled for 2 June 2026, disability grants for 3 June 2026, and children’s grants for 4 June 2026.

Current 2026/27 grant amounts include R2,400 for older persons under 75, disability and care dependency grants, R580 for child support and grant-in-aid, and R370 for SRD.

Important: Once money is paid into your account, you do not have to withdraw it on the exact payment day. The date mainly tells you when funds are expected to become available.

SRD R370 Payment Guidance

If you are checking SRD only, use the SASSA status check page to check your month’s result and pay date if available.

How to Use This Payment Calendar

The calendar is split by month because each grant group is paid on a different day. This makes it easier to see your payment window without reading a long table.

Older persons grants Usually paid first in the monthly payment cycle.
Disability grants Usually paid after older persons grants.
Children’s grants Usually paid after disability grants. This group includes child-related grant payments.
SRD R370 Checked and processed separately. It does not use one public payment date for every applicant.

Why Some Payment Dates Shift

SASSA avoids payment dates that fall on weekends, public holidays, Mondays, the first day of the month or directly after a public holiday where this could affect payment system flow.

This is why some months do not follow the simple 2nd, 3rd and 4th pattern. For example, April 2026 has a longer gap between the older persons payment and the disability and children’s grant payment days.

Do not panic if you do not withdraw immediately: once the money is available in your account, it should remain there until you use it.

If Your SASSA Payment Is Not Showing

A payment date does not always mean every person will see money at the exact same time of day. Bank processing, account status, verification problems or grant review issues can delay access.

  1. Check that you are looking at the correct grant group and month.
  2. Wait for bank processing if the date has just arrived.
  3. Confirm your bank account or payment method is still active.
  4. Check for SASSA review notices, SMS messages or document requests.
  5. Contact SASSA or visit a local office if the payment remains missing.

For eligibility rules and full grant-type explanations, use the SASSA grants guide.
